Went to a fete today,
There all on my own ..
Met a couple of friends,
Could see we all have grown ..

Husbands, wives, sons and daughters,
Everyone with someone..
And as I gazed at a passer by,
God I missed you hon..

Staring into space I turned my head,
And suddenly across the field..
Like two strangers in a love story,
Our eyes they suddenly meet ...
